Nominations Closed

Because I want to acknowledge all the wonderful drabblers out there in fandom, I have organized the first ever Merlin and Arthur Drabble Awards! Please make your nominations in reply to this post.

Your moderator,
eosrose

Schedule

Nominations Close: 20 April 2010
Voting Begins: 25 April 2010
Voting Closes: 20 May 2010
Winners Announced: 1 June 2010

Rules

  • All nominations must be 350 words or less.
  • All nominations must involve the Arthur/Merlin pairing in some way—pre-slash and friendship are allowed.
  • You may nominate another person’s drabbles (in fact, I encourage it!).
  • You may nominate your own drabble(s).
  • You may nominate as many drabbles as you like for each category.
  • You do not need to make your nominations all at the same time—make additional nominations whenever you like.
  • A single drabble may be nominated for up to (but no more than) three categories.
  • There is no cut-off date for drabble publication—newly published drabbles may be nominated right up until nominations close.

How to Make a Nomination

  • First find drabbles you like. I recommend searching merlin100, merlin_ldws, merlin_tweetfic, the drabble or ficlet tags at merlinxarthur, or sorting by pairing and word count at Archive of Our Own.
  • For each nomination, please indicate in a comment to this post: Category, Title, Authur, and URL. Your nominations will be screened.

  • Remember: You don’t need to offer a nomination for each category—just nominate the drabbles you want to.

Voting

Categories that have 3 or more entries will be voted upon. :)

A single drabble can only be nominated for up to three categories. Please narrow down the categories--I suggest Best 100-Word Drabble and 2 genres.:)

Awesome idea. I pimped it out at my lj. But could you also, possibly, do one for the longer fics? I'm not a drabble reader so even though i would love to nominate something the shortest thing I found in my bookmarks had 700 words. Do one for normal length fics and I will drown you with nominations. :D

camelot_awards hosts the usual Merlin/Arthur Fanfiction Awards. Although this season's awards appear to have been abandoned, I don't wish to step on toes. At this time, I'll only be doing the drabble awards. :)

Oh, a shame. Not only what you're doing now looks professional and you would do a great job with longer format, but also they aren't doing it this year! Oh well, I'll wait.

If I have time and the hosts of the camelot_awards permit me, perhaps I'll consider something for the summer. ♥

Do you have much yet? Are people putting in nominations?

There are nominations, but few categories have more than one. Though, to be fair, I haven't made my list of nominations yet. XD

That would be good. I'm actually going through and rounding up some nominations myself. I think we'll be in pretty good shape when voting time rolls around (provided people are willing to take the time to vote). :)
